I figure it's time to actually keep folks updated on my current directorial activities. Here's a quick update on what's going on in my life at this moment in time with various projects I am involved in.
PROJECT PANDA just Won BEST SOUND DESIGN (Mike Southworth), BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY (Byron Kopman) and BEST EDITING (Ashley Lynch) at the Run N Gun 48 Hour Film Festival put on by This Is A Spoon Studios! We also got Nominated for BEST FILM, BEST DIRECTOR, and BEST ACTOR for Trevor Lernor! We killed it, great work all around by our team in this crazy contest! STATUS: Prepping for pickup shots for director's cut - WATCH PROJECT PANDA (48 Hour Cut) The Wounded is going through it's financing stages with my producing partners over at Trembling Void Studios along with some assistance from the guys at Rogue Panda Productions. Things are looking good for a shoot later in the fall this year! STATUS: Financing and casting, in pre-production - WATCH The Wounded Trailer Draft #3 (no VFX, sound design) : DemonX is nearing the end of it's post-production life, with Frostbite Pictures releasing more VFX sneak peaks and teasers every day! I was on-board to direct the majority of the episodes, and I think we managed to bang out some pretty impressive action with some great performances in this web-series! Looking forward to the final release! STATUS: Final days of post+VFX work, releasing shortly Shampoo Theatre is a small VFS film I will be directing in May this year, written by some talented folks from the VFS Writing program. Looking forward to banging it off in one day with some great performances in this homage to the classic soap opera drama! STATUS: Pre-production for shoot mid-May
